We know figuring out what you want to do with your life can be overwhelming. So we’ve created a less overwhelming way to design what’s next for you.

Find a community (or two) that fits you. There’s no limit to how many communities you can join + you can change your mind at any time.

In Career Communities, you’ll get:

  • A community designed by you—Be personally led by your Career Community Guide, supported by a network of like-minded community members, UB alumni and mentors sharing advice, inspiration, motivation and ideas for your career journey.
  • Exclusive invitations to events, job + internship opportunities—Career community only events and slack channels to connect with UB alumni and employers with the next best job + internship opportunities.
  • Career + life design tools for every step of the way—A toolkit to help students (like you!), including what’s trending in the job market, blogs, videos, articles, podcasts and recommendations on what to try so you can easily discover how your major can lead to more opportunities.

  1. Sign in to Bullseye powered by Handshake.
  2. Click “Career Interests” under your name.
  3. Check the “Career Clusters” that interest you.
  4. Click “Save My Career Interests.”
  5. ✅ Done!

How to join Slack

Step 1: Join the UB Career Design Slack Workspace

  • Accept the UB Career Design Slack Workspace Invitation
  • Create a Slack account by clicking “Continue with Email”
  • Enter your UB Email and Full Name, then click “Continue with Email”
  • Check your UB Email for a “Slack confirmation code” email
  • Enter the confirmation code from your “Slack confirmation code” email
  • And you’re in! You will receive a “UB Career Design on Slack: New Account Details” email as confirmation

Step 2: Join our Career Community Channel(s)

Already joined the UB Career Design Slack Workspace? Steps to return:

  • Sign In on Slack with your UB Email
  • Enter the confirmation code from your “Slack confirmation code” email
  • Click “UB Career Design”
  • And you’re in!
