Buffalo Big Print is an independent fine art print shop and Allen Street Art is an art gallery and gift shop located in the heart of Allentown’s vibrant arts community. We specialize in supporting local artists by offering museum-quality prints, high-resolution scans, conservation grade framing, and curating unique gallery exhibitions and local art merchandise. Our small but dynamic team works closely with artists, photographers, designers, small businesses, corporate clients, and the community to promote art in everyday life.
Buffalo Big Print, a longstanding institution in Buffalo’s art scene, has been evolving. Established in 1987, the business has been a trusted provider of fine art & photography printing and custom framing for nearly 40 years, has specifically served as a
vibrant gallery space on Allen Street for nearly 25 years.
With Barrett Schwalenberg at the helm since 2016, business has grown steadily, and in 2024 the gallery space began a transformation into an independent business called Allen Street Art. This change allows the gallery to more effectively focus entirely on continuing to host exhibitions and supporting local artists as it has for decades, as well as develop new community and arts-related programming in the space.
Buffalo Big Print remains in business, located in the back of the Allen Street Art gallery at 78 Allen Street, and continuing to offer top-quality fine art and photography printing, giclée reproductions, high-resolution art scans, and conservation framing services by appointment. “While the gallery now operates as Allen Street Art, we’re still the same team and space, dedicated to art and community,” Schwalenberg stated. “This transition lets Buffalo Big Print concentrate on high-quality printing and framing while allowing Allen Street Art to grow as a creative space.”
Allen Street Art, located at 78 Allen Street, Buffalo, NY remains a thriving hub for art shows and exhibitions and will carry forward the gallery’s welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
