Ross Eye Institute is looking to hire hard-working, pre-medical students who want to learn more about diagnosing and treating vision issues. As Ophthalmic Scribes, employees will be working directly with patients and physicians. Their tasks will include (but are not limited to) providing primary ophthalmic care to patients, completing preliminary exams, and working with physicians by completing charts and assisting with procedures.
Ross Eye Institute is an educational facility with three locations serving Buffalo and Western New York. It is the training ground for UB Department of Ophthalmology residents and will provide a unique learning experience for all interested students. No prior work experience is required, however, interested applicants should have substantial availability from M-F. Priority will be given to academically high-achieving applicants who can provide full-time availability, but part-time applicants are also encouraged to apply. If interested, please email Fahim Ahmad (mdfahim@buffalo.edu) with your CV/ resume and a short paragraph explaining your availability for the Summer and Fall.
Students may be invited to shadow our physicians and get first-hand experience with the job and its requirements before selection.
