Job Description: Global Programs and Center for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Student Assistant
Position Type: Spring 2025 Semester
Overview: The Global Programs and CLOE Student Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the recruitment, organization, and management of various Global Programs and CLOE initiatives. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent time management, communication skills, and a passion for working with diverse, international groups.
Eligibility: Must be work study eligible.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Outreach:
- Aid in the recruitment for Global Programs (internal to students) and CLOE (external to community members and university partners).
- Assist with registration and advising students interested in Global Programs.
- Develop and deliver presentations in classes about Global Programs.
Program Coordination:
- Organize and track attendance for information sessions and classes.
- Manage student participation and coordinate mentor/mentee relationships.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all student concerns.
Content Creation and Management:
- Create social media content, flyers, and presentation materials.
- Manage written content such as stories for UB Now and student quotes post-trip.
- Maintain course websites and content (UBLearns or Google Classroom).
Event and Trip Organization:
- Organize photos from Global Programs trips and make them accessible.
- Meet and assist international in-person groups, helping to organize their stay.
- Work with interdisciplinary and international partners to coordinate engagements.
Leadership and Development:
- Be the student lead for the student team in Global Programs and CLOE.
- Help develop United Nations engagement within Global Programs, School of Management, and UB at large.

- Professional communication style, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Experience managing social media/communication accounts preferred.
- Experience working with international groups preferred.
- Openness to international working styles.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines (project management).
