Intramural Sports Supervisor Position
This position is only open to students who received notice that they are eligible for a Federally funded workstudy appointment. Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports, Intramural Assistants will be responsible for some or all of the following:
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of intramural sports programs, including but not limited to scheduling games, setting up and taking down equipment, and ensuring the safety of participants.
- Providing excellent customer service to all participants, including responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing assistance as needed.
- Possibly Officiating intramural games -IF QUALIFIED, enforcing rules and regulations, and maintaining a fair and safe playing environment.
- Providing supervision and support to student staff, including training and ongoing development.
- Assisting with the marketing and promotion of intramural sports programs, including creating and distributing flyers, posting on social media, and attending campus events to promote the program.
- Maintaining accurate records of participation and game results, and assisting with end-of-season reports.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director for Intramural Sports.
Qualifications:
- Must be a current student enrolled in the University or College.
- An understanding of various intramural sports and their rules is not necessary, but it is useful.
- Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a customer service or sports-related position is preferred, but not required.
- You can only work one Work Study job on campus, you may not hold more than one work study job at a time.
