Position Summary
In keeping with the efforts of the University at Buffalo Alumni Association (UBAA) Board to represent the entire alumni population, there is a need to have a student organization liaison on campus so the UBAA Board can be aware of any emerging or underrepresented group needs as future alumni. Further, the student organization liaison is expected to assist UBAA in developing a more continuous pipeline of graduates moving from student status to volunteer engagement status with UBAA. The student organization liaison will report to the Associate Director of Identity-Based Alumni Engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify leaders within student organizations willing to engage with UBAA and consider the work of UBAA as something they would like to see continued/improved upon.
- Engage at least two underrepresented student organizations.
- Identify at least one joint activity with UBAA for each student organization.
- Identify at least one student per organization that would be reached out to for ongoing engagement with UBAA post-graduation.
- Management of identity-based Connect-a-Bull Groups, including, but not limited to ALANA and LGBTQIA+ groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
