Looking for a fulfilling career? We’re hiring medical liaisons to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position allows you to showcase your leadership and organizational skills in the role of the medical liaison. You will be an advocate and voice as people exercise informed decision-making in regards to their health needs. And you will be an ally as they communicate their wants and needs to others. The medical liaison is a hands-on professional that has a direct role in supporting the health and wellness of others. The medical liaison is also responsible to support the team in meeting the health and medical needs of the people whom they support.

  1. Perform responsibilities of direct support staff
  2. Administer medications per Heritage Christian Services Medication Policy
  3. Attend all scheduled training and participate in in-service sessions and other staff training sessions, implementing new procedures and employing SCIP-R techniques as necessary
  4. Schedule and assist individuals with medical appointments
  5. Communicate medical information to individuals, team members, clinical staff, and family members
  6. Write or revise individual-specific med sheets as needed
  7. Responsible for Physician’s Orders Sheets and transcribing new orders
  8. Responsible for maintaining a two-week supply of meds and supplies in the home at all times
  9. Monitoring expiration dates of medications
  10. Assure the safe transportation of individuals to and from social events, errands, and other necessary appointments using home or agency vehicle
