Accelerated (12 month) Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ABS)

Our Accelerated (12 month) Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ABS) can be completed after students complete their 1st Bachelor’s degree from UB. I’m hosting a virtual information session for interested students. We will also address in the session, our early assurance program to become a Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Nurse Midwife and the Nurse Anesthetist programs. RSVP for a virtual information session specifically tailored for UB Students interested in ABS Nursing:VIRTUAL: Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, 4-5 p.m. ET.

In addition, we offer several resources for students to learn more about the highly ranked UB School of Nursing ABS program:

  • In Person Visit Program: Friday 10/16/26 @ 5:00pm UB South Campus Wende Hall Room 114 / RSVP HERE
    They can meet current UB ABS students, Tour the Simulation Lab, and learn more about applying to the ABS program.
  • ABS Transcript Evaluation & Zoom Appointment: (Current and former UB students can just fill out this form, the don’t need copies of their transcripts and we can help them determine what prerequisite courses they have completed and assist them in making a plan to complete any remaining prerequisites.  Once an evaluation is completed, a zoom appointment can be made to review the evaluation and discuss their plan.) https://nursing.buffalo.edu/academic-programs/undergraduate-programs/undergraduate-additional-info/nursing-undergraduate-advisement/transcript-evaluation.html
  • Biweekly Virtual Information Session: RSVP HERE
  • NursingCAS Application is now open for the Summer 2027 start term and has a 10/1 priority application deadline and a 11/1 final deadline: Apply Now: NursingCAS
    Must have a 3.3 minimum cumulative GPA, 3.0 prerequisites GPA requirement and have 4 prerequisites completed with a C+ or higher by the 11/1 deadline. Their degree can be in progress when they apply but must be completed in the fall or spring semester before our summer start.
