About Us: We’re a family-owned marketing firm based in Connecticut called Mennr. We built our company after seeing our family restaurant struggle during COVID. Since our restaurant had zero online presence, once quarantine began all of our regulars and foot traffic stopped. Scrambling to find a way to rejuvenate the business, we threw together a website, built our Google Business Profile, asked some of our regulars to leave us reviews, and connected our restaurant to food delivery apps (Uber Eats and DoorDash). After coming within months of declaring bankruptcy, our family restaurant was back in business, ready to continue being passed down through the family. Since then, we’ve seen first hand other small businesses that weren’t as lucky. Mennr was built to support these businesses, to keep their family business in the family. We should note, though our story begins with our family restaurant, Mennr works best for local service based businesses like HVAC or Roofing as opposed to local product based businesses like restaurants and retail shops.
What We Do: Our focus is on creating multi-generational small businesses that stay relevant in the Digital Age. To do this we build and maintain businesses’ online presence by way of Website Design/Development, SEO, PPC, Social Media, GBP, Digital TV Ads, Content Creation, Print Ads, Public Relations (think things like local news engagement and local partnerships), and Reputation Management. In short, we help small businesses consistently reach potential customers by managing all of their marketing and advertising for them. Different from other marketing agencies, we build businesses that last for generations, not just years, all while charging the same fees yet delivering more value.
What We Are Looking For: Our perfect Sales Representative is someone who has an interest in the marketing space, someone with previous Sales Representative experience (in a similar high-ticket 1099 role), and someone who would like to see small businesses continue to be the backbone of America. This person will need to be able to work from 9am to 5pm Monday – Friday. Has experience in prospecting and closing (in-person and email outreach experience is a plus). Someone who is friendly and personable. Family is at the heart of our business, and we would like to work with Representatives who share similar values.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify prospects
- Reach out to prospects over the phone or in person and convert them to leads
- Book leads into a follow-up meeting to go over an audit of their business
- Communicate with leads to identify a solution that best fits their business
- Book interested leads into a follow-up meeting to go over our marketing and advertising proposal
- Share SOW and contract with the lead, introduce the account executive to the lead, and close the deal
- Keep track of your sales and contacts via HubSpot
- Be genuine when working with businesses and give them your best effort
- Answer any questions, comments, or objections a prospect or lead may have
Here’s What The Pay Looks Like: Sales Representatives at Mennr are responsible for the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Our typical cycle takes 1-2 weeks. When a partner starts working with Mennr, they are locked into a 6-month contract with us. Our least expensive package comes in at $1,500/month, or $9,000 for the complete 6-month term. Our most expensive package tops out at around $3,500/month, or $21,000 for the complete 6-month term. As a Representative, you receive 10% commission on the 6-month value of each contract. This equates to a range of $900 – $2,100 per sale. This role is full commission, uncapped, with no base salary. There is additional bonus pay for meeting a quota of 6 sales per month.
Let’s say you make 200 interactions each month, those can be in the form of cold calls, door-to-door, email, or any other form of outreach you’re confident in
From those 200, let’s say 40% (80) are interested in follow-up Solutions Call
Out of the 80 who attended the solutions call, 75% (60) would like to continue the conversation and take a look at our Proposal
And from those 60 Proposals, you’re able to close 10% (6) of those into a sale
Given those figures, you’ll be making $108,000 per year ($9,000 / month) at an average deal size of $15,000
This position is entirely remote, Sales Representatives are able to meet businesses local to them in-person, or make phone calls to businesses that are local to them. As a Sales Representative at Mennr, you will be an Independent Contractor working on a 1099, not on a W-2. This means you are responsible for paying the taxes associated with your income, purchasing your own health care, and managing your own retirement fund. As an Independent Contractor, you don’t have privy to the benefits associated with standard W-2 positions, but with that comes additional freedoms a W-2 employee doesn’t have. You are your own boss; you manage yourself and reap what you sow.
